House Points
House points form our whole school reward system here at Eastfield Primary School. It encourages a team ethos across the school and allows children of all ages to have a common goal.
Every child, from EYFS to Year 6, is allocated into one of our four houses: Lilian Bilocca, Thomas Ferens, Amy Johnson and William Wilberforce. Each house also has teachers and support staff allocated to them and throughout the academic year, we engage in sports activities, circles and assemblies to build our school community.
How are house points earned?
House points are given out as a recognition of achievement to individual children. They will include things such as:
- Demonstration of our Eastfield SMART values.
- Being polite and well-mannered to those around them.
- Being a Regular Reader.
- Making positive contributions in class.
When a child earns a house point, they will collect a house point shield of their colour and add it to their class points. Every week, the House Captains (elected Year 6 children) will go round all classes to collect the house points and add the scores up. During our Friday Celebration of Achievement Assembly, the winning house is announced by the Year 6 House Captains. The house that wins the most house points each week is rewarded at the end of term.
